Listing the Companies that Give Back
Business is the act of making one’s living by producing or buying and selling products. The name of a business could come from the entity of an owner. The debts incurred by the business will be a burden to the owner. The primary goal of a business is to identify the needs and provide solution to the problem. You do it by selling a product or service to the customer. No need to be taken care of, no solution to provide thus there will be no customers and businesses as well. Additionally, it always go back to the customer. Successful business owners reach out people who needs to be taken care of. With that, how can any business owners give back to the people who are in dire need of help? The answer would be through funding any local, regional, national or international charities. Example of these charities are sports club, school organizations, churches, and national organizations such as Red Cross Youth.
Charities can be of any size as long as someone benefits. To take examples of big companies that are giving back big time to the community are enumerated.
Since 1954, GE has been known as one of the top companies that help any nonprofit organizations. Before, only college and universities were the company’s benefactors but now they include nonprofit affiliations. Employees can give donations from $25 to $5,000.
Employees of Google donates money which ranges from $50 to $12000 annually. The Google company does not only give back to nonprofit organizations but even to foundations needing their help. One way of giving back to the community that the Google is using is the Google Dot Org which aims to help local, national and global communities. Annually, a money worth of $100,000,000 is being donated by the Google through the Google Dot Org to any nonprofit organizations and groups. Google is also funding global entrepreneurs in developing country and also granting community request and giving relief in times of disaster. Google is also providing grants to help boost traffic to nonprofits’ websites through their program called Google Ad Grants.
Another big company that is giving back to the community is Starbucks. The Starbuck’s Partner Match Program is granting nonprofit group composed of Canadian employees and retirees volunteer in the United States of America. The Starbucks foundation is also eyeing in helping the youth and leadership.
The IBM company is also aiding financially the current and retired employees who are and were volunteering. Any qualified school and nonprofit organizations can be given the chance as the benefactors of the IBM company.
